How about a taste?

If you’ve been reading, you know that my next novel #CookingUp Trouble is to released October 1st. But I am starting it’s serial (a chapter a day) on my Facebook page, THIS COMING MONDAY (the 16th).

Curious to get a taste of the novel before it’s chapter 1 release? Keeeeeeep reading….

***He looks like he’d taste like smoky bourbon and cinnamon and damn it if that doesn’t make her want him more. Her obsession is nothing short of ridiculous. He’s her boss, for fucks sake, which makes things complicated. Her oven timer goes off and Mal has to actively stop fantasizing about Trace Billings. The oven door opens and the back half of the kitchen moans happily. “Tasty, what is that?”Sam asks.

Mal smirks. “Cranberry orange scones.” Several sounds of approval hail from the prep cooks but that’s not the reaction she’s looking for. Trace Billings (their head chef) is standing in the cooler, facing her, with a scowl. Mal rolls her eyes. Her crush on him is ridiculous but no more so than his apparent dislike of her.

Mal didn’t even do anything to piss him off! She came in for her first interview, he took one look, scowled, and hasn’t stopped scowling in the past 10 months. Oh well! Her customers are happy, at least. Wildview Plantation made no secret of using frozen bread products and store bought cakes before she was hired. Mal is a vast improvement. “Did you order ten pounds of blueberries?” Trace growls out. Mal sighs.

“Yes, I did. You asked for a seasonal muffin.” She hears the anger in his throat. Trace doesn’t hide it well. “How about picking a product that doesn’t cost fifty bucks and spoils in a damn day?!” She snaps her teeth together. “How about you fuck off?!”She mutters. Sam is close enough to hear her and smirks. “Tight ass, chill. You know they’ll be delicious!” A genuine smile flits across her face. ***

That’s the first few paragraphs of chapter 1! If you like steamy, southern romance, enemies to lovers, kitchen flirting, no cheating, mystery, and a strong female lead who is not a delicate flower….you’ll love Cooking Up Trouble.
