If you do anything in the “public eye”, you know how crucial being active on socials is to modern day success. In particular, being a self published author means that it’s ALL on you, at least until you make enough to hire someone to do it for you!
As I haven’t reached that tax bracket, it’s just lil ole’ me who is working, writing, editing, posting, marketing, and advertising my novels to the *world*. It’s a lot! But still we persevere…..
My LEAST favorite thing to do, social media wise, is talk myself up. It physically pains me! But I have to set aside my yick and talk myself up, just a touch!
If you live in the Chicagoland, NWI area…..I’ll have a table at Merrillville’s Branch of the Lake County Public Library for their Creative Arts Summit on May 21st, 12 to 4. Come out and say hi! There will be a bunch of other creatives (painters, sculptors, other writers, etc.) so it’s a huge thing to support the arts and support the artists!
